The Thai government has confirmed that it will implement a vaccine passport scheme to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination to residents who are vaccinated. The vaccine passport will be an official document that pharmacy automation will use when traveling abroad. The scheme's details have now been published in the Royal Gazette, making it official.

The Bangkok Post reports that the Royal Gazette has also published the vaccine passport format, which has been approved by the Department of Disease Control's Opas Karnkawinpong. The departments and the Public Health Ministry's text in English and Thai on the cover. It carries Thailand's national emblem, the garuda, and the words "Covid-19 Certificate of Vaccination."

The vaccine passport also contains the owner's name, national identification or passport number, and confirmation that the holder is vaccinated against the Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccine passport scheme will be to recognize only vaccines approved by Thailand's Food and Drug Administration or the World Health.

The vaccine passport must be signed by an approved disease control official to be valid. The Department of Disease Control has published an order for six such officials to sign the document, according to the Royal Gazette.

Each vaccine passport is only for individual use. Parents of children under the age of seven will be required to sign for them, while people who cannot write will be required to provide a fingerprint.
