A party of friends arrived at the seemingly deserted Phuket Zoo and shot a video. What they discovered was awful, and according to the narrator, has caused some of them nightmares during their tour. On April 16 they shared an updated version of the video they took.

'Minh Nguyen,' an Australian from Arncliffe, NSW, shared the video stating they have already reached out and gained support for their attempts to offer some urgent relief and potentially rescue the animals in the zoo.

“They can die from starvation, they can die from stress, they’re disturbed, they’re living in shit conditions.

They encounter a member of the zoo team who told them ...

"If you want to give the tiger food, give money, about 7,000 baht, and that's going to buy 50 pieces of chicken – that's going to feed one tiger for one day." Later in the video, Minh says the owner admitted they couldn't afford to feed the animals and the owner wanted to close the zoo down (unspecified if it's either temporary or forever).
