Sometimes we believe that common sense is left on the ferry on the way to magic island…

Not getting the cultural dress code
Most people do a little research before they come to Thailand and discover that Thai people are more conservative and it is a Buddhist Country. It’s made quite clear that a more covered look is appreciated yet you’ll see people walking around the supermarket in their bikini with their bum cheeks hanging out.

Break the rules
A popular example as above is sunbathing naked even though it is not allowed, hey we even have a ‘naked beach’ here somehow? Even in resorts or hostels where the rules are clearly written (because they get broken so often) people will still return drunk and start screaming and making noise in the swimming pool when the place is clearly closed and off limits.

Travel Aimlessly and in packs
We get it, you’re in a new place and might not know where you’re going but be considerate for others who you’re getting in the way of! Lingering in the middle of a path when someone is on their way to work is highly annoying. On the roads it can be quite dangerous, convoys of bad drivers wanting to stay together, overtaking dangerously and all on separate bikes is extremely silly to say the least.

Take photos with everything
Harmless silliness yet can be quite annoying for others if you’re doing the above (getting in the way).

Not taking care or responsibility for their possessions
Another weird flaky thing that happens to people when they’re here, suddenly it is everyone else’s fault if they lost their phone on the beach whilst drunk and partying. Tourists spread out their belongings all over the place as if they’re safe and then wonder why things go walkies?

What would you add to the list?!
