Here on Koh Phangan we all prefer the more holistic approach to most things and so what are some great ways to reduce stress?

Being here on this tropical island with the ocean, beaches and nature will of course help by itself but there are other things you can do if you're feeling the pressure...

Exercise!
Burn off anxious energy and do something active! Go for a run or a fast yoga flow and sweat the stress off!

Writing
Putting pen to paper and writing out your troubles can help you process them better. Or maybe try some poetry or creative writing to help get stuff off your chest.

Hang out with your pets
Spend some time in nature or with some animals. Research published in 2018 confirmed that pets can be beneficial to people with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety.

Meditation
Meditation can help to slow racing thoughts, making it easier to manage stress and anxiety. Koh Phangan is an ideal space to try meditation.

Herbal Tea
If you look around the island you might find some lemongrass, kafir lime and other herbs. Make some herbal tea to calm yourself down.
