We Are All From the Same Light
“A little girl asked me to explain to her, what
the Tao is. I said to her ‘imagine that there is a
huge lamp, a projector that is radiating light.
In front of this lamp there is a big piece of
paper with holes in it. Every hole is covered
with cellophane of a different colour. The
holes have different shapes like the moon,
stars, boys, girls, trees, dogs, houses and many
others. Do you understand?’’ said Li Yin.
‘‘Yes’’, smiled the little girl, ‘‘we are all
from the same light.’’ Li Yin smiled too.
The Tao is the inexhaustible
mother Of the ten thousand things
And the endless worlds.
Everything that was born
Was in the Tao’s womb.
Our heartbeats are the Tao.
Have you seen your heart?
That which causes the electron
To circle around the centre of the atom
Is the Tao.
